2021 Geek-A-Long Sweater: Clue 16

Yalp Games! Leef Better!

I’ve finally made good on the joke about my working title for this sweater from May. I want you to know that I considered every option for making this scrabble board “perfect” on both sides. But to pull it off I’d have had to have you work in extreme double knitting for weeks and weeks. And honestly, I think it’s got more charm the way it is. Yalp games, friend. Leef better.

We are in the home stretch, and things are about to get a lot more exciting in Geek-A-Long knitting. Next week we’ll work the sleeve join, followed by a few weeks of chill clues (mostly to recover from the sleeve join and give folks a chance to catch up if they want to). After that we’ll move into the Yoke shaping and the most complex charting on the sweater. Don’t fret, it’s still just charts, but for clues 20-23 I will be providing extreme double knitting charts in addition to the regular charts. These are optional, but that is the one section of the sweater where I opted to work in extreme.

Enjoy one more week of body rows and I’ll see you next Sunday for a sleevetacular party*!
