2022 Geek-A-Long: Stray Sock 1

Welcome to weeks 1-2 of the 4th and final 2022 Geek-A-Long Sock Project: Stray Socks!

If you are just joining us, you can find the project sheet HERE. We’re handling this final pair for the year a little differently, and rather than 4 clues there are 2, but each is a full sock. The next sock will drop in 2 weeks. Like all the other pairs of Geek-A-Long socks this year, both socks are different so unless you want 2 pairs, don’t cast on for two-at-a-time socks.

There’s no project kit for this one, but I’ve been working on tons of new stitch marker sets without the constraint of making them for kits and that’s been super fun for me! I’m going to try to get some new sets added to the shop this week and post about then next weekend. We used Marigold, Cyborg, and Witchlight on Vacation Yarn for our sample pair, and we are keeping those colors well stocked in the shop. And as with all patterns, this one will not self-destruct when it sees you using yarn other than ours, so please enjoy the pattern with whatever yarn makes you happy.

It’s been a wild week, Fibermancers. Jac has been out of commission recovering from a sinus infection, and while we are thrilled it wasn’t COVID or Strep, it’s still zero percent fun for her. I’ve been holding down the fort, but she is usually in charge of shipping the orders so things are a little delayed because it turns out I don’t actually know what I’m doing when it comes to printing shipping labels XD. Everyone that ordered yarn last week should have it either in hand or in transit this week.

While Jac convalesced, I had a very uncharacteristically full social calendar – including a murder mystery party to celebrate a friend’s 40th. I don’t normally take or post selfies, but it’s the first time in years that I’ve felt safe and cute in a (very controlled) social setting so this time I want to show off the picture. <3
