Welcome to week 6 of the Gotta Catch ‘Em All socks: Pokémon Green!
We are 6 weeks deep in our Pokémon sock adventure, and I don’t know about you, but the weeks flew by for me. I don’t think time will ever have the same meaningfulness that it did pre-pandemic. It’s been a rough 6 weeks on our end, including a COVID outbreak among our pod (we’re all OK and on the other side of it now) and a death in the family. I’m typing this post the evening after the funeral and it feels a little surreal. Pokémon have been a fun distraction. I’m looking forward to our final chapter in the Pokesock saga – Pokémon Yellow – starting up next Sunday. Jac and I are thinking of taking a break after Pokemon wraps up, we’ll let you know what that means in terms of scheduling in the next few weeks.

Bulbasaur is one of the most requested square designs. Fun fact: the 44 stitch Bulbasaur chart (and all the Pokémon’s on our socks) can easily be put onto the standard 45 stitch Geek-A-Long squares by adding one extra pinstripe on the side of the chart.
