Space Invaders are invading your sweater, and clue 3 of the Eight Bit MKAL is live on Ravelry now! Clue 1 and Clue 2 made up the first sleeve (shown below) and next Sunday you’ll be able to get your hands on the 2nd half of sleeve 2 when Clue 4 releases.

I’m a huge fan of Space Invaders, and in addition to having put them on the GAL blanket way back when I also made a space invader sweater vest AGES ago. So long ago that having spent the last 40 minutes trying to find it, I am unable to locate a picture of said vest. That was before instagram, barely after facebook, and several phones ago. I know it exists somewhere. The vest was pretty great though I think you’ll have to just take my word for it.

Eight Bit: Clue Three

When you add this pattern to your Ravelry library, you will have immediate access to 1) the project sheet, which includes the usual yarn/gauge/needle information for the sweater, as well as the instructions for a gauge swatch and 2) clues one-three. The remaining nine clues will be released via pattern updates. Once the project is added to your library, the clues will automatically be added to your library when they release.

Space Invaders is really a good metaphor for life right now. You’re trying to keep those little aliens 6′ away from you, but the harder you try the faster they get. Saddly, we can’t destroy those that get to close to us, but wouldn’t it be kinda nice if we could?
