Pattern Release: Aw Nuts!

Look, I know you’ve got great big brassy acorns, but I think we can all agree that it’s important for everyone else to know it too. It’s not socially acceptable to add it to your LinkdIn page, so there’s really only one option left to us: Knit them onto your yoke!

The Aw Nuts Sweater pattern is available on Ravelry now, and to celebrate the release it is 20% off through August 28th, no coupon code needed.

Aw Nuts is adorned with acorns, splendid with squirrels, and fabulously fun to knit. It works up quickly in worsted weight yarn and the top down construction gives the option to knit the sleeves when you come to them or after you’ve finished the body.

I know it’s Friday, and usually this would be a book club post, but I needed to take a week off of my Dresden Files binge. I’m having a lot of fun reading the books, but honestly, this week I just really wanted to watch an absolutely excessive amount of TV. So in the last five days, I’ve watched all of Indian Matchmaker on Netflix and have begun to scratch the surface of Married at First Sight. It’s been nice to disengage and take a mental holiday from all the things I’m supposed to do. Frankly, now that I’ve published Aw Nuts and also written this post, I feel like I ought to get some sort of surprise for having done TWO THINGS today.

This week I also gathered up all the junk in my house and had a junk hauler take it all away. It was magical. There is no longer a broken futon in my garage. All the old broken toys, and empty boxes and the random stuff that has accumulated over the last 8 years in this house are gone and I feel like a new me. So refreshed, recharged, and having lost an entire trailer of junk from my trunks, I’m ready to seize the day*. So I’ll be back next Friday with my reaction to the brand new Dresden Files book: Peace Talks!

Llama Butt.

“I’m here to kick butts and eat nuts. And I’m all out of nuts.” -Doreen Green, the Unbeatable Squirrel Girl

*I’ll be doing all my seizing from 6′ away, indefinitely.
