2022 Geek-A-Long: Clue 7 – Pokémon Yellow

Welcome to week 7 of the Gotta Catch ‘Em All socks: Pokémon Yellow!

We’ve reached the final sock in our Pokémon adventure: Pokémon Yellow! In addition to the first part of Yellow, you can download the full pattern version of Green at the bottom of this post. Pikachu is one of the most recognizable characters in videogame history, and even though I know I *should* be annoyed by him running around shrieking “PIKA! PIKA!! PIKA!!!”, I find him enchanting. He is the OG Hodor. And also, he’ll electrocute your enemies. Basically, the perfect pet.

Did you know that every year in Japan, there multiple Pikachu parades?! These parades each feature multiple Pikachus, and there are multiple parades.
