Be My Geek-A-Long Valentine

I have hijacked the Sunday post from Jac this week to send you all a Valentine! Don’t worry, there is still a square coming your way and Jac will post it later in the week, but this was the best way for me to reach the folks that only visit us on GAL day to deliver your gift. I released a new pattern last night, the Cross Your Heart Mitts. They are half off this week. Not for you though! For you, my sweet Geek-A-Long Nation, they are free!

Use the coupon code LORD BUTTONBOTTOM to get the mitts for free through Feb 22nd, 2020. I also wrote you a little story about the mitts in the style of a bodice ripper. Happy Valentine’s Day!

A thrill of pleasure ran through her, drawing a small gasp from her garnet lips. Lord Buttonbottom purred deep in his throat, pressing himself against her thigh, eyes locked on her hands. She stroked one delicate hand down the thick, warm skein before pressing it to her breast.

“Oh” she sighed. “Oh Lord Buttonbottom, what a beautiful sweater this will make for you!” Rising from the chaise, gown and shawl fluttering, she rushed to the desk in the corner.

She stroked one delicate hand down the thick, warm skein before pressing it to her breast.

“I must have more of this glorious fiber Lord Buttonbottom!” she cried, opening her laptop and placing another order. The Lady Meganne glanced around nervously to make sure no one was near enough to see her debauchery before selecting express shipping throwing caution to the wind and accepting the extra charge. “I shall make mitts to match, and our hearts and outfits shall be as one!” She sighed with satisfaction, sinking back into her favorite seat. Just as she was closing her eyes for a well deserved respite, a knock sounded at the door, jolting her awake.

Who could this be? She wondered as she cautiously approached the door. Her heart skipped a beat as she dared to dream that somehow her yarn had been ferried here straight away. She did purchase express shipping afterall. She opened the door just a crack, peering out from under her long, coal black eyelashes.

The man standing before her had one hand hidden behind his back while the other searched for his keys. Elated she threw open the door at the sight of her husband, returned from the mysterious new land of Jersey.

“I shall make mitts to match, and our hearts and outfits shall be as one!”

Eyes glittering he took in the sight of her, wrapped seductively in an ankle length nightgown and fluffy shawl, yesterday’s mascara still thick on her lashes, her hair tantalizingly knotted atop her head. He leaned down, whispering in her ear,

“I’m sorry that I missed watching the Bachelor with you last night, but I’ve brought you something special to make up for it” his deep voice rumbled to her. Looking up at him, anticipation filling her, she tried to peek around him to see what he was hiding. “I’ve told you before not to bother with Valentine gifts, they are overpriced and the holiday is too commercial” she chided him. “Besides, it was yesterday. You didn’t need to bring me a gift.”

“My love,” he said, stepping over the threshold so she could close the door before Lord Buttonbottom got any big ideas, “I know what you really want.” he locked eyes with her as he slowly pulled his hand from behind his back. “I didn’t get you a box of Valentine chocolates. I got you 2 boxes of day-after-Valentine’s-Day sale chocolates”. She had never loved him more.
