2018 Geek-A-Long: Bill Nye the Science Guy

Bill Nye the Science Guy was a 90s tv show all about, you guessed it, science. It had a quirky, rapid fire humor that won our hearts and 19 Emmy Awards. BeyondAllReason nominated Bill Nye the Science Guy in the Fight for Your Fandom thread to be on the 2018 blanket:

Growing up, I was actually more of a Mr. Wizard or Beakman’s World fan. I wasn’t exposed to Bill Nye until my twenties when I was introduced to the nerdy drinking game, Bill Nye the Science Jug. Each person would have their own bottle of hard alcohol and every time someone said “science” on the show you took a drink, two drinks if anyone said the phrase “Science rules!”

Should you ever try to play Bill Nye the Science Jug with your friends, you may notice that the farther along the show gets, the more hammered you’ll get. Why is that? Well, the ethyl alcohol gets absorbed into your bloodstream and the alcohol molecules get mixed around! ::Insert Sloshing Noises::Bill Nye Waves His Hands Around:: And those molecules start killing off brain cells! ::Ping::Ping::Ping-Ping::Ping::

Ah, my twenties. What a gloriously nerdy time to be alive! I learned so much.
