Camp Wannaknit Tee

Before I give you the details on the official tee of Camp Wannaknit, I have to tell you about the picture above. It’s all artsy and beautiful, like Megan-Anne is in mid twirl. What was actually happening though was she was flapping her arms and yelling, “Look, Jac, I’m a Swablu!”

For those of you who don’t know and are like, “What on God’s green earth is a Swablu?” Swablu is a Normal/Flying type of Pokemon that evolves into an Altaria and becomes a Dragon/Flying type. And now, whether you like it or not, you know about an adorable Pokemon that isn’t Pikachu.

Our photo shoots are hella dignified. See also that time a woman thought I was kidnapping my sister and tried to rescue her from my knit-photographing deviant ways. Honestly though, it’s not a surprise that we get a lot of weird looks out at locations since I usually spend most of our photo shoots doing things like yelling at her to stop flapping her arms like a round, blue Pokemon with clouds for wings.

Alright, back to the official Camp Wannaknit Tee!

Designed to take you on a mental vacation away from the humdrum responsibilities of life with its simplicity and relaxed look, the Camp Wannaknit Tee features a rolled hem and rolled trim along the neckline and armholes, garter ridges to punctuate your favorite speckled or variegated colorway, and an A-line silhouette that is wider at them than at the bust. Its swingy shape flatters most figures and guarantees a breezy, carefree garment that will make you feel as if you’re sitting at the end of a dock with your toes in the water, even if you’re actually just running errands.

This pattern includes eight adult sizes: XS(S, M, L)(XL, 2X, 3X, 4X) with a bust circumference of 31.5 (34.5, 37.5, 40.5)(43.75, 46.75, 49.75, 53) inches. The sample I knit for Megan-Anne is a size 2X with 1.25” of negative ease.

You can get the Camp Wannaknit Tee pattern for 48% off during the next 48 hours, no coupon code needed!

A PDF will be emailed to you by Ravelry. You don’t need to be a Ravelry member to purchase the pattern, but if you are, the PDF will show up in your library.

I’m not going to lie to you. I fracking LOVE this top. If Megan-Anne’s birthday wasn’t just around the corner, I would’ve knit it in my size and kept the sample for myself. The drape on Vacation Yarn is just lovely on this garment and the garter ridges bring just enough to the party to make any hand-dyed speckled/variegated colorways truly shine. But as much as I adore it, her birthday is next week. Plus, the limited edition Camp Wannaknit colorway is basically the same color as my skin and I 100 percent looked naked with blue paint splotches on me when I tried it on. But that’s okay, it’ll just give me time to dream up a tunic length version with POCKETS.
