Cat Theater 3

This is completely not relevant to the webcomic or our weekly Monday flash sale, but OMG DID YOU WATCH SHERLOCK LAST NIGHT? Can we please talk about the ending?

I mean, I won’t. It would spoil it for those of you that didn’t know the show came back on or have it waiting on their DVR.

BUT DANG, PEOPLE! I was yelling and screaming and smacking my husbands arm. And I want to tell you about how I was onto to it and they threw me off the scent, but that might alter your viewing experience… So, this is me sitting on my hands, preventing myself from typing potential spoilers.

Except, it’s super hard to introduce this weeks Cat Theater or share what’s part of our Monday Flash Sale when my phalanges are trapped underneath my big ol’ butt. So, I’m going to dissuade myself from discussing Sherlock and its ending last night by putting some Sherlock themed yarn on sale! Today only, you can snag our luxurious Sherlock themed Interlude Yarn for $5.00 off the retail price. Mrs. Hudson, Baker Street, and Baskerville can be yours in the form of fingering weight silk, cashmere, and bluefaced leicester.

And now on to your regularly scheduled Geek-A-Long flash sale!

The recommended colors for Week Two’s Supergirl were Invisible Jet and Daily Planet. They made a more daring, “look up in the sky” combo. This week, we’re coming down to earth with Mutant Town. You can grab the colors you’ll need for week three of the Geek-A-Long, Invisible Jet and Mutant Town, for half off HERE until midnight tonight.

As always, we will donate $1 to Child’s Play Charity every time you purchase a skein of Geek-A-Long Yarn, even if it’s on sale. It doesn’t matter if you plan to knit the week three square with it or if you buy enough of the hand-dyed yarn to knit the free pattern, Henley Hat by Jessica Gore, we’ll support Child’s Play Charity.

Drawn by our little sister and Lattes & Llamas’s lab assistant Alena, this cheeky webcomic is your first clue to guess which superhero will be featured on this coming Sunday’s Geek-A-Long square. The second clue is up above in the form of our Monday Flash Sale, where you can get our hand-dyed beauties at half the retail price. Alright, let’s see what our resident theatrical kittens, Gambit and Wesley, are performing this week!

Take your guesses over to the Geek-A-Long Ravelry group and join forces with other people to suss out who the superhero is. Happy guessing!

“Megan-Anne, I put yarn on sale.”

“Yeah, it’s Monday. That’s what we do on Mondays now.”

Me, snickering.

“What did you do, Jacquline?”

“It was either put Sherlock themed yarn on sale or tell everyone the ending. I had no choice.”

“I don’t think that’s how it works…”

“Too late. It is now!”

No, we CAN’T talk about Sherlock yet! I haven’t watched it yet… completely forgot that we had a new episode to watch! It’s been so long… Soon, though! I’m looking forward to seeing the new episode.

Quick question about the Geek-a-Long yarn weight: do you know what the gauge of this would be when knit on size 6 needles? Would it be very loose? Thanks!

    • Megan-Anne Llama says:

Well, that depends on your gauge of course, but I would say that I tend to choose 4s or 5s for this yarn. It’s a light sport, 6 would be drapey, but I wouldn’t expect it to be super loose.
