Last month, we announced a raffle for the members of our Geek-A-Long Ravlery group, in which we’ll give away four super sweet prize baskets to a lucky few at the end of the year. For those of you who missed the announcement, you can read more about it here, but here are the basics:
When you post a picture of your finished Geek-A-Long blanket to the group in any of the three sizes (baby blanket, afghan, or full sized), you will be entered into the raffle for that sized blanket. Everyone in the group, however, is eligible to enter the drawing for the fourth prize basket as our thank you for just being a member.
So, why am I bringing this up? Well, it’s the end of February and that means it’s time to give you a sneak peak at one of the other prizes in the baskets.
Kelly Connor Designs was kind enough to donate some of her delightfully cheeky project bags all the way from Scotland. We told her we would need four and she sent SEVEN! Plus, this sexy knitting needle case.
Megan-Anne and I had a heated debated over what to do with the other three bags. Should we create three more prizes baskets? Should we add an extra one to each of the blanket raffles? Should we do a special giveaway on the blog? Should we horde them for ourselves?
After much deliberation and Kindergarten name calling, we decided that both of us would keep a bag and we would use the third in a giveaway for our blog readers. That means you! So, check back this time next week (Friday, March 7th) to find out what you have to do to win these bad boys.
Before we show you anymore of the bags Kelly Connor Designs graciously sent us (and possibly you!), we wanted to share with you a little bit about this adorkable Etsy store. Here she is, in her own words, Kelly Connor:
Kelly Connor Designs began with my own search for studio equipment. I wanted something that was neither bland or overly twee to use in my own creative process. I couldn’t find what I was looking for so I began to develop items for my own use that combined the humour, visual appeal, and functionality that I was looking for.
The process has expanded and now Kelly Connor Designs offers a growing range of practical and fun handcrafted accessories that provide a contemporary, well styled solution to the edgy crafter.
Our product range marries the passion for making with love for literature, movies, and pop culture. It now includes knitting and crochet bags, knitting accessories, geeky knitting gifts, eco totes, and a new range of mugs inspired by love of the stitch in its many forms.
Thank you for sharing your journey with us, Kelly!
As always at Lattes and Llamas, pics or it didn’t happen. As you look at the pictures, we recommend humming the “Eye of the Tiger” and enjoying them as your own personal montage.
If you can’t wait to (possibly) get your hands on these awesome bags, you can purchase them here. Thanks again, Kelly, for your generous donations!

Those are awesome!!!
Adorable and that is one of my very favorite Supernatural moments – Dean aka Jensen just makes me giggle all the time.
Hoping for a Supernatural block for our geek blanket.
There just might be one ;)
Squeeeeee I just love that show.
Me too! It’s my all time favorite right behind Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

This is so Amazing. What a great place for my money to go on vacation. I know I’m a knitting Geek when I would much rather stay home to knit and send my money on vacation (at least I get to receive products while my money gets to enjoy the travel)
