I saw this heathered green at @kelbournewoolens aptly called "Autumn Heather" and decided it was finally time to knit a pair of my #harvestmelodymitts for my step-mom. But now that I've gotten to the point where it's time to start the ribbing song and dance I'm thinking, would it be crazy if I turned these into mittens instead? The 4th of July is cancelled this year, on account of the Supreme Court reinstating the monarchy.

And yet, summer camp remains and today the kids were encouraged to wear red white and blue so the lunch bag frog* should do the same. Supporting queer and trans rights is patriotic AF.

I have a summer camp tradition of elaborate lunch bag decorations for Mabel the Merciless. I can't do it year round - these bags are a time sink, albeit a really fun one - but for 8 weeks in the summer I go to town with colored pencils. Mabel is in a passionate "frog girl phase" so we are having frog girl summer themed bags. I trace the frogs out of coloring books for the most part and then embellish and color them. Pro tip: do a big batch of tracings on some weekend and then each week night you can just pick a bag to color.
