Hello, my beautiful online family! I am here to announce your next free knit-along project. But before I do that — blog post title spoiler not withstanding — I’d like to take a minute to share the strange journey it took to get here.

I love the video game, Cult of the Lamb. I don’t know if you can really describe it as “cozy” since you play as a possessed lamb saved by annihilation by an ominous stranger, who asks you to build a loyal following in his name to repay your debt. But like. The little cult followers are sooooo cute!

I’ll tell you more about the video game between clue releases, but basically it’s a cute, roguelike with base building and dark humor. If you find Gritty enchanting, you’ll love this game!

Unfortunately, I had trouble idolizing my love of Cult of the Lamb in yarn form. The socks/slipper went through several iterations before Megan-Anne took the yarn from me and said I was done. She wasn’t wrong. I had a block and it was about to give me a nervous breakdown. After watching me angst over the pattern for months, she had come up with her own idea and offered to design and knit the slippers. I heartily agreed, and now we bring to you, THE CULT OF THE LAMB.

Cult of the Lamb Slippers

The Cult of the Lamb Slippers are a unique lamby project featuring bobbles, stranded knitting, short rows, and beads. The kick-off party begins next weekend when we’ll release the project sheet, complete with instructions for a “yarn sweater” gauge swatch and all that other stuff you need to know like yarn requirements and such.

So, are you ready to start your own wooly cult? First you’ll need to get yourself an Cult of the Lamb Slippers Kit!

Available with limited quantities, each Cult of the Lamb Slippers Kit contains three beautiful 100 gram skeins of Lattes & Llamas’ Fandom base in Kamala Khan, Cyborg, and Baskerville, two 8mm jingle bells, eleven 6/0 black glass beads, and twenty-one 6/0 red glass beads. Plus a set of stitch markers hand-crafted by Megan-Anne! Get yours now, because once they’re gone, they’re gone!

The pattern actually only calls for eight of the black beads and eighteen of the red, but we’re putting in three extra of each color just in case.

Please note: The kit does NOT include the actual Cult of the Lamb Slippers pattern. The clues must be downloaded from our website or Ravelry as they are released. See release schedule above for dates.
