We’ll be back next week

Hi Fibermancers. This week has been…a lot. Right now I can hear my neighbors hooting and partying and setting off fireworks in the street and part of me is glad they are having fun, but it seems really hard to celebrate independence day when women’s independence is being systemically stripped away.

I’ve been really struggling this week to get stuff done. I’ll be ok, but this week has been rough and I didn’t finish the stuff that needed to get done in order to release the kit today. I just didn’t have the spoons to get all of the dying done. This next kit is a lot of yarn! Which is good, but also, more than I could do on a week I felt so drained. Did you know there is an Adderall shortage? It’s not well timed to have not been able to refill my script this week. I haven’t talked about my ADHD a lot in this space, because when I’m properly treated I manage it really well. But when I tried to refill my meds a week ago I was told in addition the the regularly scheduled shortage that has caused me to miss days on my meds for the last 2 years, now there is a recall on my particular dose. So yeah, just not a good week for productivity.

I don’t think I’m alone in this, a lot of folks are struggling with the day to day right now, so I’m hoping this won’t come as too much of a disappointment. And it’ll be worth the wait! So that today still has some fun Geek-A-Long news, I will reveal the theme of our next project: POKEMON! Get excited to choose your starter and embark on a fabulous 4 sock pocket-monster adventure.
