Remember last Monday when I was super excited about the ending of Sherlock: The Lying Detective? Well, my husband and I were hanging pictures last night — We moved a couple of months ago and we’re just now getting around to it. — And then, an alarm on his phone goes off warning us that Sherlock is about to start. We drop everything that we’re doing, make popcorn, and cozy in under the poorly made blanket I crocheted 20 years ago. He turns on the television, PBS is airing that Viking Cruise commercial that always makes me go on about how we’ll go on it one day, and then stupid Victoria comes on!
I’m not a fan of Jenna Coleman. I’m sure she’s lovely as Victoria, but when I’m used to watching Sherlock at 9PM EST and they decide to put it on two hours earlier for this stupid show, I feel justified in hating it. We turned off the TV and argued about our mutual decision to ditch cable, which resulted in us not having a DVR or Sherlock recorded on said DVR. Basically, my life is like a fart and I have to wait for it to air again on Wednesday night. On the bright side, my husband makes the best popcorn and my apartment is starting to look more like a home.
My first world problems aside, it’s time for Cat Theater! Drawn by our very sick little sister, who took the time to make this even though she’s “dying from an overabundance of snot,” this webcomic is your first clue to guess which superhero will be featured on this coming Sunday’s Geek-A-Long square. The second clue is down at the bottom in the form of our Monday Flash Sale, where you can snag our hand-dyed beauties at half the retail price. Alright, let’s see what our resident theatrical kittens are up to this week.
Take your guesses over to the Geek-A-Long Ravelry group and join forces with other people to suss out who the superhero is. If no one figures it out by Friday, which I highly doubt since you guys are so clever, Megan-Anne will drop in with another spoiler.
Want to start from the beginning? You can read the first Cat Theater webcomic HERE.

The recommended colors for third week’s square, Groot, were Invisible Jet and Mutant Town. Now, we’re departing from the variegated forest greens to something more akin to ooze. Named after the home of two Green Lanterns, Portworld is a punch-you-in-the-face chartreuse. You can snag the colors you’ll need for week four, Invisible Jet and Portworld, for half off HERE until midnight tonight.
As always, we will donate $1 to Child’s Play Charity every time you purchase a skein of Geek-A-Long Yarn, even if it’s on sale. It doesn’t matter if you plan to knit the week four square with it or if you buy enough of the hand-dyed yarn to try out Cristi H. Payne’s Basic Sock with a Double Gusset Heel, we’ll support Child’s Play Charity.

I’m not kidding, every single time the Viking Cruise commercial comes on, I ramble about how I’ll totally go on it one day. I’m pretty sure I say the same exact things too, about the types of fancy hats I’ll have to buy and bring in fancy hat boxes, the amount of cucumber sandwiches I’ll eat, the shawls I’ll knit for the occasion. And my sweet husband just nods and says, “Sounds wonderful, honey,” like it’s the first time I’m talking about it. One day, Viking Cruise. One day.
Mmmm, cucumber sandwiches…
And I love the kitties. Such cute spoilers this year!
