I have attempted a few of the geek-a-long squares converted to Tunisian crochet, but I end up with oblong rectangles. How do you get a square when you’re pattern is 45×57?
The crocheted squares will never be as square as the knit ones because the row-to-stitch ratio is different. With the acceptation of any squares from 2015, which have a ratio more geared to crochet, they’ll all be rectangles. I don’t have much practice with Tunisian crochet to tell you why your squares are particularly oblong. But, if you’re images are being skewed, I’d recommend starting with squares from years 2017-2019. In 2017, I started making a color chart especially for crocheters, so that the image would not be skewed for them.
