With this cowl, I have found my true calling. I was put on this Earth to bring you knits inspired by the many glorious jumpers of Acting-Ensign Wesley Crusher. Based on his iconic rainbow striped jumpsuit, the Crusher Cowl will let you dress for success as the Starfleet Officer you’ve always known you were meant to become.
The Crusher Cowl is part of the 2018 Geek-A-Long pattern series to raise awareness for Child’s Play Charity. A portion of the proceeds from each kit sale will be donated to CP Charity. So fire up your favorite knitting-oasis holodeck program, and congratulate yourself on making the world a little brighter.
Kit 1 includes the yarn and pattern you’ll need to knit this beautiful accessory and Kit 2 comes with the yarn only for those of you who might have purchased the pattern from Raverly. For information about the yarn content and more, check out the description section below.
About the Kit
This kit comes with one 100 gram skein and three 20 gram skeins of Vacation Yarn. If you purchased Kit 1, it will also come with a PDF of the pattern. Kit 2 comes with the yarn only, NO pattern. You can view our post about the Crusher Cowl here. Find more pattern information below.
While we try to keep the kits in stock and ready to ship, this luxurious yarn may be dyed to order. Depending on our current volume, it may take 3-12 business days to create your hand-dyed lovelies. Please note that sometimes colors and textures look different on your computer screen than they do in person. If we had the power to fix this, we’d probably be billionaires. And we’d totally still make yarn.

Important Pattern Information
If you purchased Kit 1, A PDF of the pattern will be emailed to you unless you provide a Ravelry username in the “Order Notes,” which will be located in the billing/shipping address section at check out. If you provide a Ravelry user name, the pattern will be added to your Ravelry library. The pattern will be sent to you when we process your order to ship.
Worked in the rounds, employing a variety of fun, simple stitches, the Crusher Cowl is more exciting than an away mission to a party planet. German short rows create an unexpected undulating pattern across the body of the cowl. Piping at the top and bottom, combined with a tubular cast on and bind off, provide an exciting texture and alternating rounds of simple slipped sts and plain stockinette in the center make this a fast and easy knit.
