Oh.  Em.  Gee.

I recently entered the Vogue Knitting Design Contest and I got the call last week that I am a finalist!  I am one of 10 very lucky people who will go to New York City in January and attend the Vogue Knitting Live gala where our pieces will appear in a runway show.  Oh, and not that it’s any big thing but the grand prize winner goes to New Zealand for a week.  Freaking New Zealand!  I could see hobbits in the wild.

I have a mentor which I guess is kind of weird…people don’t really apprentice or have mentors much anymore.  But I do, because I’m just the kind of girl that hangs out with accomplished old men.
