Blanket of Shame

knitshame blanket

I finished crocheting this blanket over 3 years ago. It was one of my first adventures into designing and was intended for my youngest sister. I had completed it on time for her birthday, but for some reason, the idea of weaving in all the ends seemed impossible. So, I bought her something instead and decided I would give it to her for Christmas. And I never did. Rinse and repeat for three years and her we are again, her birthday has passed and so has Christmas. Maybe 2014 is the year?

Does anyone else have projects sitting around, waiting for you to weave in ends?

You can find more knitshame here and if you’d like to share some of your own (crochet too!), link back to this post or email us at dr [dot] daisyespresso [at] gmail [dot] com and we’ll feature you next Monday.

Hilarious! When I was 11ish I got fed up with blankets that only covered my legs or only covered my shoulders but not both because I’m so tall. I started crocheting a blanket that would be long enough to cover me from head to toe. This monstrosity ended up being almost 8 feet long, and I didn’t finish it until I was almost out of high school. Still have the blanket to this day proudly laying in the living room in all of its elderly, mismatched glory!!

I totally did this.. IT took me FOREVER to actually finish the blanket, and then stitching in the ends just seemed overwhelming. >.< Glad to know I'm not the only one!
